There are thousands of Jewish children in the GTA whose parents cannot afford to properly celebrate the holiday or buy Chanukah gifts . Every year, JF&CS and its partners run the Drive for Dreidels Community Chanukah Toy and Gift Card Drive to support local Jewish families that need assistance at the holiday.

Please share some joy by dropping off new, unwrapped toys or urgently needed gift cards and monetary donations from November 23-December 9.

JF&CS is honoured to be a recipient of funds raised at the upcoming Emunah Toronto Gatsby Gala.

Emunah's mission is to improve the lives of the disadvantaged in Israel by empowering them with tools for a better tomorrow.  

At the Park Hyatt on Saturday November 21st at 8pm, guests will be treated to a 1920s inspired evening featuring an amazing auction, a themed gourmet dinner and full bar and even the opportunity to play in a private poker tournament.

You may not know this, but JF&CS is the third largest recipient of United Way funding in Toronto and has been for many years.  We are immensely proud of our relationship with United Way Toronto & York Region and to show our support, we hold an employee campaign every November to give back.

Part of this year's campaign is The United Way CN Tower Stair Climb this Sunday November 8th.  JF&CS climbs as a team every year and it’s always a fun, challenging and rewarding experience! Why not help make the climb a little more meaningful by sponsoring any one of our climbers?

That headline is one of three of our priority areas of service.  Jewish poverty now touches more than 24,000 people in the GTA.  The stories are difficult to hear and the reality is an even more difficult pill to swallow. Unfortunately, it remains a fact.
