Jewish Family and Child Service currently serves approximately 800 Holocaust survivors living under the poverty line; this is approximately one quarter of the Survivors living in the GTA. JF&CS provides Holocaust survivors with a range of critical services and support but as seniors' needs become more complex and the cost of living increases, the financial aid provided is simply not enough. Survivors are struggling to live their final years in dignity.
Your gift will help Holocaust survivors with:
$250 – Pantry stock up (kosher products and cleaning supplies)
$500 – Personal care items (incontinence supplies, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, over the counter medication)
$1,000 – Safety items (commodes, raised toilet seats, bath benches/chairs, safety bars including installation of the items)
$2,500 – Mobility items (walkers, wheelchairs)
$5,000 – Home medical equipment items (hospital beds and air mattresses)
