JUST FOR ME BACKPACK PROGRAM

As the leaves are changing colours, and coats start to come out, students are getting ready for the new school year. For some students though, it can be difficult to be excited for the new school year when they worry about being different from their peers. The children we serve can rest easy knowing their backpacks are full and ready for their first day back to school.

Jewish Family & Child is very proud of our partnership with National Council for Jewish Women (NCJW). For over 20 years, NCJW has supplied our clients with hundreds of backpacks filled with new school supplies, ensuring that students are prepared for the year ahead. This means that parents with limited means have one less concern when preparing for September and children can begin the school year with confidence. 

Thanks to the incredibly generous donation by National Council for Jewish Women (NCJW) and Na’amat Canada, Jewish Family & Child received and distributed over 240 backpacks to students in need.
