AGAIN WITH THE JOKES?
www.jewishfolks.com

That's right, friends.  Jewish Folks Telling Jokes is back for a third time and tickets will go on sale to the public on April 18th.
If you don't already know about our signature fundraising event, it is an absolutely hilarious night of live and filmed joke telling that will have you holding your sides from laughter!

Pulling off a major production like Jewish Folks Telling Jokes is only possible through the generosity of our major sponsors.  We would like to extend our appreciation to the following corporations and individuals who have already contributed major sponsorships to the event:

Invitations will be in the mail shortly but you can learn more and watch videos from our past two shows at www.jewishfolks.com.

 LET'S GET REAL.

This year's annual campaign takes a hard look at the stereotypes that exist about the Jewish community, and the realities that confront those stereotypes head-on.  The notion that all Jews are wealthy could not be further from the truth in Toronto's Jewish community where close to 25,000 Jews live on or below the poverty line.

Please keep your eyes on your inbox and/or mailbox to learn about the other myths JF&CS works to dispel daily.  When you choose to donate to Jewish Family & Child, you're choosing to create a safer, happier and more hopeful reality for all who come to us for help.

IN HER OWN WORDS...

"For years, our daughter was always so serious; it took a lot of effort to get her to smile. In fact, if she felt a smile coming, she'd cover her mouth as if she was doing something wrong.

We once asked her about it and she blamed it on the fact that she didn't want anyone to see her teeth because they were 'ugly and crooked'. We felt terrible, but we could not afford the prohibitive cost of braces as our work had cancelled our health  insurance.

I mentioned this to our worker at JF&CS and asked if she knew where we could get braces for much cheaper because our children had very crooked teeth.  Before long, we were accepted into the Alpha Omega free dental program with JF&CS!

It has now been a week since our daughter got her braces off. [Everyone at her school] has been noticing and commenting on the huge difference they see in her.  She's walking around not just smiling, but BEAMING and flashing sincere, melt-your-heart smiles at everyone she sees.  She's also making everyone around her smile! Never could I have imagined such a huge change in someone because of braces.

Thank you JF&CS for getting us help so quickly. And thank you to the gracious dentist who took care of my children's teeth without any charge. I know she's giving up thousands of dollars out of the goodness of her heart.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING LIFE ALTERING CHANGES IN OUR CHILDREN. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL!"
