UJA Federation and United Way Toronto are two of our long time, generous funders and we've recently participated in both of their Launch events in Toronto.
On September 8, UJA invited all of their colleagues in the Lipa Green Centre to a Launch BBQ for UJA Campaign 2015. It was quite the honour to have the Mayor of Sderot, Alon Davidi, and the Campaign Chair, David Matlow speak at the event in addition to JF&CS' own Social Worker, Jordan Cares. The Lipa Launch generated $11,919 in gifts, and for that we are exceptionally proud.
On September 10, JF&CS staff and members of our Board of Directors joined hundreds of people representing United Way Toronto Member Agencies. We packed the Miles Nadal JCC and celebrated with live music, food and a moving speech from United Way Toronto President & CEO, Susan McIsaac.
At the Launch, UWT announced this year's Campaign Goal: $117,000!
JF&CS will run it's own United Way Employee Campaign in late November during which we hope to meet and/or exceed our goal of $25,000 and full staff participation!

| Unsung Heroes Event Raises 30k for JF&CS! |

From September 7-9, The Barbara Pinchuk Unsung Heroes Legacy Project presented Sing For Tomorrow - a Broadway revue show in support of Jewish Family & Child's new STEP (Striving to End Poverty) Project.
The event sold more than 750 tickets and has raised more than $30,000! Producing the event was Neal Dlin, the son of Barbara Pinchuk z'l, a former client of JF&CS. Each year, he chooses a meaningful charity to be the beneficiary and we couldn't be more appreciative to Neal for honouring us this year. JF&CS extends thanks to all of the cast and crew for their outstanding efforts in putting this show on stage!
